                                   For this blog post, I decided to do a BuzzFeed quiz on

                                " "Which Devil Wears Prada Character are you?"

                It was about 10 questions, and by the end, I got Andy Sachs! As much as I love Andy, I'm not sure we are exactly the same vibe. 

  

   I had two of my other friends take this test, and I was a little disappointed to find out that they also got Andy, even though they answered differently from me. It was interesting to see that most people in the comments were also getting Andy Sachs. I personally answered in a way that leaned more toward Miranda or Emily—saying I was very interested in fashion and that I do care about my appearance, which is not at the core of who Andy is.

  My presumption is that the defining factor of how the quiz chooses which character you are is based on the last question: “What would make you quit your dream job?” I answered, “If it meant hurting the people I love,” which is exactly what Andy does at the end of the movie.

  Obviously, it’s a little silly to dissect a fun BuzzFeed quiz like this, but it is interesting to think about how people want to know what character they would be. Even though everyone knows it’s not very accurate, they take it anyway because that’s how much they love the franchise. It also shows how strongly people connect with stories and characters—they want to see themselves reflected in them, even if it’s through something as simple as an online quiz.

          Source #1:   Molly Young "A pencil shop, For Texting the Old Fashioned way way." The New York Times (2015)     This article covers the importance of a simple pencil. The author reacts firsthand to a new store opening in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. This tiny, Instagram-worthy store only sells pencils and notebooks.
